I’m pretty certain I chose this song so I could talk about the video, but take away the visuals and you still have an epic of sexual angst. The video is a masterpiece of homage, with nods to 50s melodrama, film noir, and Jarvis Cocker’s slinky-sleazy moves. I love how the song exhausts itself, and the players in this film-within-a-video stand around looking bewildered when the fantasy ends.
