Seigar Recommends: “Cute but Psycho” by Coco & Clair Clair

Seigar, the photographer, is back.

Hi guys! I’m bringing you “a couple of girls that love to have fun” — that’s how they define themselves in their social media. Coco & Clair recorded, mixed, and mastered the songs of Posh in various closets in the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia. Salim Garcia, a photographer represented by @adolescentcontent, shot the cover of the album: a lovely image with hearts and butterflies added in the design which can be misleading of what you really can find inside. Is pink the color that springs to mind when you listen to this track? I don’t think so.

Coco & Clair can be as funny and scary as Die Antwoord, but also as sexym almost-like-two-cheerleaders-singing-and-whispering as Client. This is dark hip-hop, electroclash, and synthpop. The group has also been part of Pride, a compilation of LGBTQ Artists. And this song, “Cute but Psycho,” could work as the soundtrack of a new horror film or TV series. It’s tense and it shows a great use of beats and silence. It’s catchy and sticky — give it a try and meet these cool girls.

I will try to introduce you to more new acts in the future — I hope you’re enjoying them.
